DataTrak makes it possible for you to grant customers access to certain ExecuTrak reports via the internet. This proves to be a valuable service that you can provide to customers, making it easy for them to view important information about their accounts. These external users are able to view selected reports for their company. Reports available to external users include:

• Wholesale Invoices

• ACH History

• Account History

• Credit Card Remittance

• Price Report. Note: Before users can access the price report. You will need to perform the required maintenance in ExecuTrak.

• Aged Detail Report

Implementing Functionality for External Users

In order to implement external user functionality, you will need to complete a few installation steps, provided that you already have a fully functioning DataTrak portal. These implementation steps include:

• Making DataTrak Web Accessible

• Creating External Users

• System Parameters

Making DataTrak Web Accessible

Because of certain security issues, you will need to contact Factor support for assistance in making DataTrak available to customers via the internet.

Maintaining External User Accounts

Implementing functionality for external users is the same as implementing functionality for internal users.

• Create "Customers" user group for external users.

• Create external user accounts.

• Assign external user accounts to Customers user group.

• Create document group for external user documents (reports).

• Assign documents to Customers user group.

• Create Primary Desktops for User Accounts.

However, there is one difference between the configuration for external user accounts and the configuration for internal user accounts: Internal user accounts are associated with one or more profit center numbers while external user accounts are associated with one or more customer numbers.
