Over/Short reports allow you to view over/short information for a selected period. Reports include fuel, lottery, money order, and register over/short data. Drive Offs, the number of voids, and the number of no sales are also included.
Reports are available in summary and detailed formats for both parent and child profit centers.
When you select Over/Short reports, the system displays the following report criteria screen:
The following selection criteria allow you to specify the period to report and the way the report is viewed.
Enter the beginning date for the period for which you want to view over/short information. Use the mm/dd/yy format. For example:
01/10/99
Enter the ending date for the period for which you want to view over/short information. Use the mm/dd/yy format. For example:
01/10/99
Note: If you do not enter a date in the Beginning or Ending Date fields, the system will default to the current system date.
You may specify how you want to view and/or print the report by choosing from the following selections:
· View Report Directly
· Condense Print
· Print Directly to LPN
· Display/Print Selection Page

Note: Tables IREGINFO and TOTALS are used to retrieve over/short data.
The report columns are as follows:
Fuel Over/Short
The Fuel Over/Short column displays fuel over/short data for the profit center during the period. Values are rounded to two (2) places after the decimal.
Lottery Over/Short
The Lottery Over/Short column displays Lottery over/short data for the profit center during the period. Values are rounded to two (2) places after the decimal.
Money Order Over/Short
The Money Order Over/Short column displays money order over/short data for the profit center during the period. Values are rounded to two (2) places after the decimal.
Register Over/Short
The Register Over/Short column displays register over/short data for the profit center during the period. Values are rounded to two (2) places after the decimal.
Drive Offs
The Drive Offs column displays drive off cost data at the profit center for the period. Values are rounded to two (2) places after the decimal.
Number of Voids
The Number of Voids column displays the actual number of voids at the profit center for the period.
Number of No Sales
The Number of No Sales column displays the actual number of No Sales at the profit center for the period.
The report sections are as follows:
Profit Center
The report displays the name and number of the profit center represented by the corresponding report data.
If a profit center has a child profit center, it appears as a hyperlink. Clicking on the hyperlink allows you to view summary information for child profit centers.
For each category reported on the Summary report, the Detail report includes more detailed information. Over/Short Detail reports list the over/short information for each day during the selected period at the profit center. The report lists the following information.

Note: Drive Offs values and the Fuel, Lottery, Money Order, and Register Over/Short values are not rounded on the Detail report.

Fuel Over/Short
The Fuel Over/Short column displays fuel over/short data for the profit center during the period.
Lottery Over/Short
The Lottery Over/Short column displays Lottery over/short data for the profit center during the period.
Money Order Over/Short
The Money Order Over/Short column displays money order over/short data for the profit center during the period.
Register Over/Short
The Register Over/Short column displays register over/short data for the profit center during the period.
Drive Offs
The Drive Offs column displays drive off cost data at the profit center for the period.
Number of Voids
The Number of Voids column displays the actual number of voids at the profit center for the period.
Number of No Sales
The Number of No Sales column displays the actual number of No Sales at the profit center for the period.
The report sections are as follows:
Profit Center
The report displays the name and number of the profit center represented by the corresponding report data.
If a profit center has a child profit center, it appears as a hyperlink. Click on the hyperlink to view summary information for child profit centers.
Date
The report displays a row for every date in the specified date range.
Total
Total values are figured by summing the values for each column.
If a profit center has child profit centers, you may click on the parent profit center’s hyperlink to view summary report information for its child profit centers.
The Over/Short Child Summary report is based on the same selection criteria you entered for the parent profit center.
Profit centers on Over/Short child Summary reports are in numeric order. Data for the specified date range is depicted in the same manner as it is for parent profit centers. See the Over/Short Summary report section for more information.
Click on the child profit center’s hyperlink to view an Over/Short Child Detail report. Detail information for child profit centers is calculated in the same manner as it is for parent profit centers. See the Over/Short Detail report section for more information.
