Gross Profit Per Labor Hour Reports

Gross Profit per Labor Hour reports display the amount of gross profit associated with each labor hour.  This information can be used to measure and control labor costs.

Note:  If you use the Time N Attendance method for recording payroll, Factor cannot guarantee that the Regular and Overtime hours listed on the Gross Profit per Labor Hour report are accurate.

Reports are available for both parent and child profit centers.

When you select Gross Profit per Labor Hour reports, the system displays the report selection criteria screen.

The following selection criteria allow you to specify the information you want included on the report and the way the report is viewed.

Period End Date

Enter the ending date for the period you wish to view.  You must make an entry in this field and it must be in mm/dd/yy format.  For example:

01/10/99

Note:  You do not need to know the exact Period End Date.  The system will find the actual ending date for the period for any date you enter.

View/Print Selections

You may specify how you want to view and/or print the report by choosing from the following selections:

·        View Report Directly

·        Condense Print

·        Print Directly to LPN

·        Display/Print Selection Page

Gross Profit Per Labor Hour Reports

The following information is listed on Gross Profit per Labor Hour reports:

Note:  The Gross Profit per Labor Hour report uses category sales and select general ledger accounts.   The MR_SALES table is used to retrieve sales and profit data.  TIME_N_ATTEND and WFMS_DIST_HOURS are used to retrieve payroll data.

Columns

The report columns are as follows:

Total Hours

The Total Hours column displays the total number of labor hours reported at the store during the specified period.  The value is the sum of both regular and overtime hours and is rounded to the nearest whole number.

Total Gross Profit

The Total Gross Profit column displays the total amount of gross profit reported at the store during the specified period.  Values are rounded to the nearest whole number. 

Gross Profit Per Labor Hour

The Gross Profit per Labor Hour column reports the amount of gross profit associated with each labor hour at the store during the specified period. 

Gross Profit per Labor Hour values are calculated by using the following formula:

X / Y

X = the Total Gross Profit column value.

Y = the corresponding Total Hours column value.

Values are rounded to two (2) places after the decimal.

Total Gallons

The Total Gallons column displays the total fuel gallons reported at the store during the specified period.  Values are rounded to the nearest whole number.

Average Gallons per Labor Hour

The Average Gallons per Labor Hour column reports the average gallon sales associated with each labor hour at the store during the specified period.

Average Gallons per Labor Hour values are calculated by using the following formula:

 X / Y

X = the Total Gallons column value.

Y = the corresponding Total Hours column value.

Values are rounded to two (2) places after the decimal.

Inside Sales

The Inside Sales column displays the amount of merchandise sales reported at the store during the specified period.  Values are rounded to the nearest whole number.

Average Inside Sales Per Labor Hour

The Average Inside Sales per Labor Hour column reports the average merchandise sales associated with each labor hour at the store during the specified period. 

Average Inside Sales per Labor Hour values are calculated by using the following formula:

X /  Y

X = the Inside Sales column value.

Y = the corresponding Total Hours column value.

Values are rounded to two (2) places after the decimal.

Total Sales

The Total Sales column displays the sum of all sales reported at the store for the specified period.  Values are rounded to the nearest whole number.

Average Sales Per Labor Hour

The Average Sales per Labor Hour column reports the average sales associated with each labor hour at the store for the specified period. 

Average Sales per Labor Hour values are calculated by using the following formula:

X / Y

X = the Total Sales column value.

Y = the corresponding Total Hours column value.

Sections Listed On The Report

The following sections are listed on the report:

Profit Center

The report displays the name and number of the profit center represented by the corresponding report data. 

If a profit center has a child profit center, it appears as a hyperlink.  Clicking on the hyperlink allows you to view Gross Profit per Labor Hour reports for child profit center(s). 

Gross Profit Per Labor Hour Child Reports

If a profit center has child profit centers, you may click on the parent profit center’s hyperlink on the Gross Profit per Labor Hour report to view report information for its child profit centers.

The Gross Profit per Labor Hour child report is based on the same selection criteria you entered for the parent profit center.

Child information is reported in the same manner as it is for parent profit centers.  See the Gross Profit per Labor Hour report section for more information.
