Consider Retail shift report entry. The data from a retail shift report passes through many stages. A typical shift report will follow this path:
1.>>
Retail transactions such as sales and purchases are made at the store.
2.>>
The store report which reflects these various transactions is entered into the StoreTrak system on the store PC.
3.>>
Once entry is complete at the store level, the data is transmitted to the CommServer at the home office.
4.>>
After the CommServer receives store reports, the data should be uploaded to ExecuTrak.
5.>>
When shift reports are uploaded from the CommServer, the data is placed in hold tables. The next step is to process shift reports. Once shift reports are processed the entries are moved from the hold tables and placed in the permanent tables.
Note: The previous example reflects basic data movement for retail locations with StoreTrak.
