12 Period Fuel Margin Reports

12 Period Fuel Margin reports are graphical reports which allow users to visually compare fuel margin values for up to twelve current/prior periods.  Graphs display fuel margin values for each period of the current year alongside the values for the corresponding periods from the previous year.

Report graphs are available for both parent and child profit centers.

Report Data

ProfitCenter

12 Period Fuel Margin report graphics display the name and number of the profit center represented by the data.

Period Ending Date

Period ending dates are displayed along the graph’s horizontal axis, beneath each date’s corresponding bar on the graph.

Dollar Values

Margin (Profit per Gallon in Dollars) values are displayed along the graph’s vertical axis.  These values help you evaluate the fuel margin value at the profit center during the specified period and year.  Margin values are calculated as follows:

X / Y

X = the sum of gross profit values for fuel sales at the profit center during the specified period and year.

Y = the sum of all fuel sales at the profit center during the specified period and year.

Values are rounded to four (4) places after the decimal.

The graph displays both positive and negative values.  Positive values are displayed above the zero (0) point on the vertical axis.  Negative values are displayed below the zero (0) point.

Note:  The vertical axis will display up to 48 values (both positive and negative).  However, the actual number of values will vary.  Only the number of values necessary to include low and high values will be displayed.

Bars Key

Blue bars represent current year fuel margin data.  Red bars represent the previous year’s fuel margin data.
